Cynthia Blain serves as a Director and Chief Operating Officer at Medic Management Group, where she manages and consults on all aspects of physician practice operations. Cynthia joined Medic Management Group in 2000.
Developed by more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Cynthia’s specialties include practice management consulting, practice growth strategies, physician EMR implementations and collection management. In her role, she provides guidance to practices on human resources, staffing, scheduling, accounts receivable, accounts payable, debt financing, physician compensation models and budgeting.
When working with clients, she directly supervises physician practice operations, including annual budgeting, monthly financial results reporting, productivity tracking, development of physician productivity standards models and integration strategies within health systems, to help clients achieve their desired medical lifestyle and financial goals. Cynthia also performs practice assessments to determine productivity standards and compensation methodologies; redesigns workflows to facilitate the use of electronic medical records; develops corporate compliance programs; and engages staff in the development of coding templates to assist physicians with accurate coding policies.
Prior to her current role, Cynthia was employed by Summa Health System, where she worked as a business manager in physician services.
Cynthia earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Michigan, and her Master of Business Administration in accounting and finance from Case Western Reserve University. She is a member of the Medical Group Management Association, American College of Medical Practice Executives and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
