Penn Kurtz serves as a Director at Medic Management Group, where he oversees the Wheeling, West Virginia office and assists clients with billing and practice management. He has been with the company since 2014
In his role, Penn provides practice and revenue cycle management solutions for employed hospital-based physician groups. He also is involved in developing new business, revenue cycle assessments and consulting.
His work includes providing physicians and hospital systems with cutting-edge solutions to simplify the business side of healthcare, so they can focus on what they do best – healthcare leadership and patient care. Penn also focuses on increasing clients’ financial returns, revenue cycle efficiency and managing risks.
Prior to his current role, Penn served as the Majority Owner of JPL Enterprises and River Valley Healthcare Alliance, where he oversaw physician billing and collections. He also owned Medical Data Solutions, providing electronic medical records for physician offices, as well as Medical Management Associates, specializing in physician practice management.
Penn earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Ohio University. He serves on the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston’s Finance Committee and as a member of the Coaches Advisory Committee for the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission. He also is a board member for the Welty Corporation.
