Tom Burick is the Vice President of Human Resources at Medic Management Group. With over 25 years of experience in the human resources field, Tom joined MMG in 2021 to provide full-service HR support across the company. In his role, Tom helps to establish accountability and foster a diverse workplace that enables employees to contribute to the organization and to clients at their full potential. This work includes recruitment and onboarding, performance management, coaching and talent development, and employee relations, as well as functional items such as policy management and administration and labor compliance.
Throughout his career, Tom has developed deep expertise in areas such as training and development, health and wellness, EEO and VETS compliance, and process improvement, allowing him to be a trusted asset for the team.
Before joining MMG, Tom held various leadership roles in human resources with indirect responsibility for up to 475 employees, most recently as HR Manager for NMG Aerospace. His background also includes healthcare-specific experience with companies like Clinical RM and Summit Healthcare Services.
Tom is a SHRM Member of both the Cleveland and Akron chapters and an individual contributor to ConxusNEO. He holds certifications in Project Management (Kent State), Crucial Conversations (VitalSmarts), Emotional Intelligence (Case Western Reserve) and Lean Mastery (Akron).
He attended Kent State University and University of Phoenix for his undergraduate degree and obtained a BSBM with a focus in Human Resource Management from University of Phoenix.
